Hey guys,

Currently looking at what to replace our current fleet of Landcruisers with. They have been deemed much too expensive, so the current options only seem to be bottom end pick ups.

We deliver 750kg and 1500kg traffic information trailers to various locations around the country, so the vehicles need to be able to go on muddy ground, wet grass and up high kerbs easily enough. They also need to be able to tow well.

All I've come up with so far is the VW transporter 4 motion, but I dont even know how good the ground clearance is on that.

Any suggestions?

I didn't really look incredibly hard - There are people on here who would know a lot more about it than me!

Scuzi, the bottom end pickups are still in the field, but BIK will increase with these, over the vans, as Ireland is crap.

A van would just give us lots more flexibility. I forgot to mention, soon we will have a trailer which is about 2-2.5 tonnes which we need to be able to tow.

I've been asked to find the cheapest solution that can do the job...

Vehicles have to be brand new and leaseable.

I have a Navara, and thats been my suggestion. It's €33,000 however, and the lease is fairly pricey.

I'm guessing the transporter 4 motion wouldnt be up to the job?
