Ok, i have the game, ive had it since release.

I looked at it then and went, hmm this could be ok, then all the bugs started making themselves known. And i also found EVE.

Right now im finding myself with a bit of time on my hands.

Could anyone who actualy plays the game tell me what its like now.

Has the performance impoved. (i have the c2d e6600 2gb ram, x1900 gfx) will it run ok.

Have the quest bugs been fixed. Things not spawning, things spawning way too fast etc.

Whats the community like?

Which server for a UK player wanting fun.

It's certainly a lot better than it was - Sony have mostly concentrated on getting the thing running at a decent framerate and squashing the worst of the bugs since they took over. They've also been working on animation and texture optimisations to speed up the framerate.

There have been server mergers too, so the populations aren't that bad. It's not jam packed by any means, but it's not a ghost town either. Think they're currently working on high end raid content.

I'm generally not an SOE fan, but I can't really complain about Vanguard - it's looking and playing a lot better now than it was before they bought it.

I read somewhere they were working on a trial island, might be worth waiting until then.
