Wondering if there's any chance of recovery in this situation...
Word file existed on network drive over wireless (drive formatted to EXT3)
Word file is being edited on PC.
Same file being viewed read-only on MacOSX.
As read-only instance is manually closed on the Mac, the open version on the PC also closes by itself.
The network drive now only shows the .filename (1Kb) file. No temp word files left behind. The original file was about 500Kb.
1) Arghhh, has this happened to anyone else before?
2) I'm looking at some undelete programs to scan the network drive but not sure which ones will do what I need yet. Any suggestions or lost cause?
