Where have all the 780 6Gb cards gone? First they were listed as out of stock, now they've disappeared from the store completely!

Love to know what's going on with these cards please?

People were buying them instead of the Titan Black which obviously wasn't good for nVidia (tongue in cheek response).

Perhaps it was the other way round, people were buying Titan Blacks and NVidia could not shift the 6gb GTX 780s.

I may have got this wrong though.:D

But probably not far off the mark :)

I feel the same. 4K is becoming very popular from looking around various forums and very affordable (I never imagined 4K screens to be under £500 already), so I imagine lots of people have done their research and seen that 6GB is great for 4K and snapped up a couple of the 780 6GB cards.

My thoughts anyway.

I was always tempted to get a 6GB version of the 780 but now the 800 series is looming over kinda pointless.

There is a reason the recent 4K panels are cheap :P (to be fair still haven't got around to trying the Samsung).

Yeah NVIDIA must know that if you were nifty enough to grab a couple of 6GB 780s you have great performance and no vram bottleneck for high resolutions unlike the 780Ti.

The fact you could buy a pair at £400 each for less than the price of a Titan (the £800+ launch price) and even the Titan Black shows some decent value in a twisted kind of way. You could have bought 5 6GB 780s for the price of a Titan Z which is obviously ridiculous.
