Vanishing toolbar

Hey all

Just doing a reinstall of XP, and basically one of the 1st things I did was too create a new toolbar on the start bar.

Anyways everytime I reboot it vanishes, any ideas?

something is been overwrote, OR the settings are not been saved.

dunno? what toolbar are you installing?...

its a fresh install though, so not sure why its not working as it should.

And just standard XP toolbar. Right click start bar > Toolbars > New toolbar (in same context as quick launch etc)

Had a problem like that with my XP a while back, was some errors on the HDD, not major, simple chkdsk fixed them and the problem went.

Also try logging off, then shutdown, see if that helps..... its a longshot but some PC's have been known to shutdown too fast and cause problems as a result.

nice one that did the trick
