RSR W3D3 (6*2 @ 140kg) No real drama. EDIT: Actually, last set, my brain went blank and I had a nice five second pause at the bottom. *idiot*
FRONT SQUAT (FTL) 70-110-130-140 (BOOM! PB!) Interesting. Nice how much difference the back squatting makes. :)

Today's drilling...

WARMUP (POWERSNATCH -> SNATCH BALANCE) BAR-40-50
SNATCH (3s) 50-60-70-70-70

Not too much, but spotted a big gap in my technique (amongst others...): hang snatches start off with my feet wider in the catch position, meaning no foot movement (i.e. concentrate on the power parts of the lift), whereas the floor work starts with feet a lot narrower... and then there's no foot movement.

This means an unstable catch due to a slightly rounded back, foot position, as well as torso too far back (i.e. bar is too far forward). It was only because the second pull was working well that this became obvious, so... :o

That four way superset!

Light isolation work is easy to super-set... doesn't half sting, though. :o

Weighed in at 98kg (almost fully laden) last night... curiously without a huge increase in calories, too. :confused: My guess is it's a result of the higher carb intake working its magic rather than anything interesting.

SNATCH -> HANG SNATCH 40-50-60-70-80-90(f1)-90(f1)-100(f)-100(f) 90kg is getting 'comparatively' easy compared to a month ago, so will probably build to 90kg for my working triples on Wednesday. Yeesh. Already got a blood blister under one of my calluses from all this snatch work without straps. :D 100kg would probably have worked if I was training at home, but there we go...

Urgh... Home gym was a sauna this evening.

SNATCH (3s) 40-50-60-60-70-70 So hot, the amount of sweat was almost funny...
BACK SQUATS (8s) 130-130-130 Had to break as was overheating (close to vomiting). The bar was also sliding down my back, even though chalked up. Gross.

Turns out I lost more than a kilo of water during this workout. That isn't scary, at all. :eek:

It may also explain why everything felt heavier than it should have done... Although I will go for 130kg again on back squats as I wasn't happy with how sloppy they became after a few reps. Quite literally, too. :rolleyes: :o :D

This morning... tighter than something very tight. Hips would just not move. At all. :(

SNATCH -> 2* HANG SNATCH 60-70-70-80(fff) Bar was coming too far forward, and so couldn't hold it. All because I couldn't control my shoulders during the second pull. :rolleyes:

Oh, well. Might just do some snatch grip, stiff-legged deadlifting this afternoon as punishment.
 
The new thread on Olympic lifting made me think about doing some cleans...

HANG CLEAN (1) 120(PB!)-110-110-110 120kg was from a hang, the others were from a slightly elevated position due to a huge number of mats underneath them. :D Amused to get 120kg, but need to do more cleaning to get used to the movement.
SNATCH GRIP SLDL FROM FLOOR (3s) 110-130-140 Went for a fourth set, but my back said no. :D
SUPINATED CHINS (8s) +12kg/12kg/12kg
LAT RAISE/BROCEPS/TRICEPS/CANDLESTICKS GAZILLIONS.

Cleaning was interesting as I haven't done it for a while. I reckon with a few weeks, 130kg would be an easy-to-repeat 'thing', but we'll see.
