Vans for personal use

Problem won't be finding a van. It'll be finding an insurer that'll believe you're only using it for personal use.

Yes, I found that issue lol. It will literally be only used for transport race karts around so I don't have to use a trailer. It will probably do less than 6k miles per year too as I use a bike for main form of transport.

The major issue is that dealers that deal with finance seem to only be interested in business users :( Hoping to find a Fords of Winsford style of place, but for vans.

How big is the kart? You could get two, one on top of another in a pick up plus tools, they are pretty easy on insurance as well.

I never noticed much difference when i had a van for personal use i had 24 x 12" sub woofers in the back i told them it hard a large audio install and it was still about the same price as a normal car for me that was with direct line.

never had a problem insuring my vans through mainstream insurers and i've had everything from escort 55s to lwb sprinters.

in terms of finance if your looking new or nearly new then speak to your local dealer our local ford dealer does both cars and vans for example same with vauxhall and peugeot locally

either that or speak to someone like van monster, sure they've dealt with a few personal rather than business sales over the years

I had a modified minivan insured for private use, was my first car too. Paid through the nose, but it was asking a lot at the time when it was so heavily modified.
I even managed to get them to let me through on a car fare on the Severn bridge when doing regular trips to Wales and back :)
