I'm looking to buy some (8) batteries for my 430EX.

Just seen the Vapextech 2900mah 8 pack for £10.45 and a 1 hour charger with digital readout for £14.95

Anyone had any experience with this kit?

i use these for my 430EX and they work excellently. they definitely last quite a lot longer than Energiser 2500mAh's

don't get a one-hour-charger though. its not good for the batteries to be charged so fast. a four hour charger would be much better for them (you'll get more charge/discharge cycles)

i bought mine from here:

and use the "Super-Fast, Smart charger for AA & AAA Batteries"
from here:
http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/standard.html

their website may be lacking, but their customer service is exceptional. they answer emails really quickly :D

Sorry for the thread bump :o

I got some Vapextech 2900Mah batterys off ebay from their shop.

Having ran a test on them with my Technoline BL-700 they only seem to hold 2.26ah (2260mah?) This seems rather low when they advertise these batterys with a minimum of 2700mah capacity!

Anyone else find this happened to them?

I have around 5 sets for a number of different applications (kids' toys being the most prevalent) and they seem fine. They do appear to last longer than other batteries in my 550EX and 430EX, but that could be purchase justificdation syndrome.

Either way, they're not bad for the price.

TaKeN: whilst that does seem low, how does that compare to other batteries? And key question: did you return them?
