lol @3122, quite possibly the greatest ever xp mobile chip ever produced!!!

In answer to your question, I owned a vapo PE which I used on my xp mobile had it to 2.6 @ -12, but everyday use was 2.45. Currently I have an LS, and judging by how both mounting systems are totally different, you'd have to make a mount kit yourself, or admit it's impossible.

Only 2.6 - should have gone with Prometeia :D

Other option is to flog off the PE and pick up a 2nd Hand Mach 1 - I swear by mine (no you can't have it!) and the come with the Sockep A kits pretty much as standard! (Should be pretty cost neutral really if you get a reasonable prive for your PE)

(And yes that is an outstanding chip - let us know how it goes)

it was a pap mboard, asus jobbie, I'd maxed out the voltage hehe, tried an insane mod and cooked something. As I said currently have old faithful vapo LS, it's done ok, san diego 3700 @ 3 ghz for about 14 months so far :D

Also, I find that my vapo basically heats my downstairs lounge and front room, so I have no fear of the gas bill come march :D

Don't get me started, my chiller used to do that - rely on my scsi's now, keeps the study nice and tropical - not sure it's economical but hey... :p

scsi's very good source of heatinng

what flavour of coal do you use

i,m x2 fuj mau;s 15k 36gb in raid 0
x2 seagates 10k 73gb in raid 0
few older gen seagates 10k 75gb single drives

Haven't heard any complaints :D

Currently got 2x36Gb 15k cheetahs in a Raid 0 for games (Perc 4e/DC Pci-e card) and a single 15k on an old pci-x for windows - just can't be bothered to reinstall and put them all on the new card

They're not too bad  until you use O&O defrag and set them all off at the same time

(Just picked up 2x78Gb cheetahs so can't wait to get them installed - 80pin so tempted to get an external enclosure...)

if you go external make sure your case has a fan wired up to cool the drives down, 15k scsi drives get hot.

As for the noise you get use to it i quess.

My Vapochill Ls with 3 120mm 190cfm delta fans now thats noise.

Have to say I've always been tempted to mod a couple of those silenmaxx enclosures and slap a HDD block onto them - silent, fast and cool... mmmmmmm... too bad I've gone off water for the moment :p
