That's the whole trouble we have people on var fixing wrong on field calls that are making wrong on field calls themselves in other games. Needs an independent var team, basically just someone other than a ref looking at it :cry:

They couldn’t go back as Spurs had already taken the free kick as they were keen to restart.

As they just said on MOTD, there was over 30 seconds between the decision being made and Spurs taking the free-kick. Did he really not notice in those 30 seconds that the goal hadn't been awarded?

The whole thing wreaks. It's getting to the point where they are making the story up on a whim to hide their incompetence.

Howard Webb must go. And so must then officials behind that game. Start the culling, get retraining and change the bloody system. Absolute joke.
