Varifocal me a surveillance camera, need to stop some ******

Hi all, for some reason someone has taken it upon themselves to try and wreck my car at any opportunity they can get :rolleyes: 2 flat tyres and has now been walked all over with a dented roof, I have no idea who it is as I dont have any enemys, so Im looking around for a affordable decent security camera I can hook up to my PC, and record anything that moves, ill sit it in the window looking out on my car, so folks who knows the most about this?
 
Some Don has a sense of humor, indeed varifocal me a webcam, well iv been looking around the net for 2 hours now, theres millions of things,still not find a good cam and good cheap software, anyone on here set one up for cheap and it works nicely ?

It simply had motion detection on the software so that it would start recording once anything moved within the area specified on the camera's view. Id place the camera looking out your window onto the car, preferably a high resoltion camera sat on a tripod? This in combination with motion activated security lights surely would be good enough.

Indeed it would, any idea as to what software it was? if its free ill have it,lol
 
fair point, its a ridiculous world we live in, anyways iv gone for the Panasonic 420 TVL CCD, Colour Bullet Camera with 10 Metres IR Nightvision, connect it via composite to that aweful compro tv card Iv got lying around, finally put it to some use I guess :D
