Hi, as the title really, i need a new electric shaver. My budget is around the £50 mark and it has to be rechargable. Ive been having a look myself and am totally baffled by the sheer amount there is on offer. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

I've been reading the title of this thread wondering what planet you were from. The penny just dropped. I'm having an Essex moment.

s'ok pebbles, took me a minute too. Plus i thought it said "shower" not "shaver", so i was having a mental picture of a varifocal glass shower window. Which was electric.

Hmmm.

The philishave ones are really good and i've been using them for about 6 years now. Look at their range, and always get the cheapest in a product line.

That is, say there are 6 in the same series, get the cheapest one. All 6 will have the same shaving experience, but the reason there's such a variable price range is rubbish features e.g. mine has a clock on it :(

Its not your fault, some magic fairys changed my original thread title!

Greenlizard0: I have heard some good things about the philishaves. Do you find then as close as a normal foil?

I used to use a braun one ages ago and found that it wasn't good on my neck. They're fairly close, you just have to use it with a cold tap on and then wash your face with hot water afterwards.

Umm...i'll try find a photo of myself..

edit - here, it's the best example I have - I think I only shaved a few hours earlier that day.
