Various Errors/Crashes

Once again a friend of mines laptop is causing trouble.

Its churning out various errors such as:

This one when using internet explorer and comes up at random times

And this one when i try and run certain programs such as windows defender or when help center tried to come up.

Also when you turn on the laptop its says something about S.M.A.R.T. having a bad sector or something and pressing an F button to resume.

Can the dll problem be fixed - normally would consider a fresh install but only want to use that as an absolute last resort.

-If you are getting Smart errors, its indicating that the HDD is failing.
-Trying runing some HDD tools from the drive manufacture to verify this.
-Also run chkdsk /r it could be a croupt file system.

just ran chdsk - took flipping yonks. only way to get passed S.M.A.R.T. error is to go into bios and exit again
