Mixed bag of issues that I have decided to throw into the one post here...
First off, both my No.1 and No.2 PCs run XP64. I havefound that this has proven itself to be perfect in every way, and I have no issues with it and all by software and hardware run on it 100% spot on.
However...
I have bought Vista64 some timeago now, and I have every so often, thrown it onto the No.1 PC and each time its getting closer and closer to being left on... Last time, I had it on for 4 weeks and I decided that since it had been flawless, that I would activate it, but as soon as I did, I have errors galore and by the end of the day I was totally locked out and it required a reinstall and so I went back to XP64... I have done the same this time round but I activated it as soon as I got all *** drivers etc done and it has once again been great apart from a few thigns..
1 -Its slow and laggy.
For example :- From within WinAmp, double clicking on a song, can take 5 to 8 seconds to actually start playing, the Windows EMailer also takes yonks to do any kind of copy / move / deleting of Emails... Its dozens of times slower then XP64.
These are only 2 of a fairly long list of silly things but they each make up to a very poor performing OS
2 - O&O DeFrag
I have tried v10 and gone back to v8.6 but I have never been able to run this EVER on all my drives without it hanging... Hell it takes 10 minutes to even get to 1% on analysing the drives.
If I do one at a time, its much better ( Still poor, just better ) but if I try to select all 7 partitions on all 5 drives then it will fail.
3 - Pauses
It did this last time too and I had hoped it would go away, and it did after a week or so... This time it has gone mostly away but its still there... Enough to pause an MP3 or a Movie or game... Just for a second but enough to completely ruin *** experience of the Song / Movie / Game.
4 - Nero
Im tryign out v8 andv7 also does the same, but if any drive fails to burn and verify properly, the Drive goes AWOL until I shut the PC off??? WTF?
No other OS does this?
I have a few more issues but nothing are really all that important andwill probably settle in over time, but these are irritating me.

OK, thats my No1 PC, my No.2 is a similar but opposite...
I have gone from XP64 down to XP32.
The snag is that its so bloody laggy that I am shocked.
I did originally go down just because I needed to have the Audigy 2 have full stuff as I need to use *** LiveDrive to do a bit of recording etc... The thing is that the Sound Card kept vanishing and when I installed *** updated drivers they gave me the same as the 64Bit drivers gave me, so at least I know that 32bit is 100% the same as 64Bit in the functions.
I do fancy keeping XP32 on there though as I am wanting to also run an old TV Card that I dont have 64Bit drivers for...
Anyway, the laggyness... I cannot pinpoint why its doing that.
That will do I have more, but the wife is calling and its mothersday... Well, you guys who are married with kids know the score...
