Have Dell U3014 monitor (+2 x U2112M's on the side)
Gigabyte GTX970 G1 gaming card.
Bought these at the same time and have to say the experience hasn't exactly been plain sailing regarding getting specific hookup options to work.
Ideally would have liked to connected all 3 monitors the same way, so thought 3 displayport connections was the way to go.
G1 has 3 Displayport outputs but only one of them seems to work...
tried various combinations of cables, which monitor goes where etc...always just the one port that works.
Hmnn..frustrating!
Any other G1 users out there use Displayport connections - is my card needing RMA'd and replaced?
As a workaround I've used HDMI to HDMI on the big Dell, and displayport and DVI-D to the smaller Dells at the side.
Thing is, its using 3 different connections to connect 3 different monitors, which is the opposite of whats ideal and what I wanted!
Is there anything I'm missing, perhaps with the Gigabyte Flex Display stuff...?
Can you only use a certain combination of connections to get multi monitor to work with this card?
Also,
I bought the big Dell for work, 3D, cad and other DCC stuff, but with the GTX970 card seems a shame not to get back into gaming.
Whats the best connection for the big U3014 monitor, in terms of getting 1440p gaming at 60Hz going?
Reading conflicting reports online about whats the best connection to get this, thought I'd ask you guys here.
Thanks, quite frustrating, particularly the Displayport issue with the 970 card...For work I use a spanned desktop over the 3 screens and I'd like to use the same connection to each to avoid any potential calibration or display difference issues.
Thanks very much.
