Vauxhall Astra Engine code

Hi,

Im having some work done on my car, an astra on a 't' plate but i need the engine code. Does anyone know where i can find it?

MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm looked there, would it have been on a sticker thats dissapeared?

BTW its a 1.6 8v

It should be Z16SE.

X16SZR is the engine code for the 1.6 8v 75hp fitted from 96-2000 on Astras.

Z16SE was only made after 2000 and never fitted to any Astras.

I was wrong earlier the Z16SE was fitted to Astras but only after 2000. That list is wrong they werent fitted from 98 as the list says. That was the X16SZR fitted from 98-00.
