Hi guys, crashed my Accord Type-R just after christmas. Caused some light front end damage to my car plus some damage to the car i hit. I decided to go through my insurance as i couldnt afford to pay outside of it. Garage has phoned me up today whilst i was at work and left a message with my mum. I can take my car down at weekend with my £500 excess and pick up a courtesy car. My mum enquired as to what car i would be getting ... a vauxhall corsa was the answer. My query is im 6ft5" tall and fat will i fit in a corsa? My mum mentioned the above and was greeted with we dont have any bigger cars then that.

Im looking forward to getting down there saturday, jumping in the Corsa and not being able to drive it.

So any tall people driving corsas?

Have you asked if they have one with a sunroof?

I'll get my coat...

Actually that's a good point - if it's got a sunroof then the roof lining will be lower than if it hasn't

(Not quite what you implied but still!)

As long as you don't expect anyone to sit in the seat behind, you'll be fine.

Lol, true, I'm quite a big guy 6' 4", and about 19st, and when I'm driving my mother's punto (haven't got a car of my own yet), if I have quite a few mates in the car (thats what happens when you go into town and drive instead of drink...) the one sat in the back seat behind the driver's seat is quite crushed.

Im 6ft 3 and I fit in the corsa with no problems, whilst driving around.

However I know knock my head on the side window sometimes when steering around corners.

bit OT but have you had your test yet m8?

Nope not yet, got a practise mock test next week with a different instructor then another week later I've got my test.

Its at the Brentwood test centre, so i probably have to contend with the double mini roundabout near high street and/or Brooke street roundabout!

thanks for asking.

cheers

good luck m8 :D

I don't know if I have long legs or something, but I'm 6`0 and I have the chair all the way back in a Corsa. You'll fit in mate, but you may be in a slightly cramped position.
