VBA tutorials

Hey,

I've got some rota spreadsheets that are becoming increasingly complicated so it's look more and more likely that we're going to need to start automating certain parts and creating checks within them.

Anyone know of any good vba tutorials or books that I can look at?

yeah that seems to be the big bit of advice going around, but one of the main things I want to do wouldn't work with a macro.

I have a list of areas that need covering, and then the rota shows which employee is in which room at a specific time.

I'll need it to examine the row for area 1, if it's there move to area 2 and search for that. It'll then check down a undetermined length list until all the areas are covered.
If it finds an area that isn't covered, it will highlight that room in column 1 to make the person making the rota aware of the issue.

It's too complicated for record a macro. I've found an old ebook on our company server "vba for dummies" so will just work through that for now but not a fan of their books.
