Right.
Looking to create a new theme.. Easy as pie. Everything is available in a lovely easy to access order. Amend fonts, back ground colours etc and set border sizes + margins etc. Go to save and.. oh. No save button.
"This CSS file is obsolete and is available here for reference purposes only"
Thats the message that I later discover at both the start and base of the so called edit page.
Ive had a little look into it after putting an hour or so into creating a theme and getting nothing and it looks as though I have to go through this route.
Style Manager > "select theme" (in this case TEST) > StyleVars.
Going to that section in the admin panel then reveals numerous lines that can be edited. These lines happen to be the exact same lines as those I have already edited all be it with a slightly different wording arrangement.
I can go into each one of these lines and edit accordingly but I have no idea which each one relates to as finding it on the theme preview is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Ive even gone for a right dodgy bright green in a bid to spot it easily but have yet to find success.
So without being able to see what I am editing in the section that subsequently cannot be edited how am I supposed to go about this easily or is there no other way? Seems a little backwards and unorthodox if that is the case.
Thoughts appreciated
Thanks
Andy
