I've got a smallish vCenter installation and I'm using vCenter Update manager to do all the patching. The host patching works great, but for some reason when I come to VM patching, the console seems to try and throw loads of irrelevant patches at the VMs.
For example, If I select a folder containing VMs, do a scan and then remediate, I get 8 patches selected. 3 are IE patches, 1 is Adobe Acrobat, 2 are iTunes and another 2 are Adobe Reader.
Given that Acrobat, iTunes and Adobe reader aren't installed on any of those VMs, why does it think those patches are applicable?
