Vcore at 1.37 but cpu voltage showing as 1.252 in cpuid

I’m trying to overclock my 7700k and at 4.8 it needs 1.37 vcore to be stable but when stressing with Aida 64 reported voltages are only 1.252.

Load line is highest level. Using an Asrock z270 m itx board.

Any thoughts?

Oh thermals are fine after a delid.

Board is showing signs of Vdroop under load. Is it also throttling under load? See what difference Cinebench makes with 4.8, 4.7, 4.6GHz runs.

Thank you. Yes I thought that might be the case. I know it’s nit the best board but 4.8 should be a breeze!

So here’s a thing

I’ve just reset ram to stick (so removed camp profile) now ram is at 2133 from 3000.

Cpu now sails past 5ghz stable with better thermals than with ram oc.

What’s the best compromise here?
