Enjoying this OC'ing lark
But now ive ran into a small problem. Got my E6600 up to 3.6Ghz running at 9 x 400fsb. Seems to run fine but obviously not 100% stable as Orthos kicks out an error. I done a bit of research and 1 thing suggested was the vCore, but I get different values!

In the bios its set to 1.4v, CPU-Z says 1.150v, Asus Probe says 1.34v & speedfan says 1.26v!!! Which one is it?!? What do you think it should be set to to get a stable 3.6?

Surprisingly, Asus Probe is probably nearest the mark, I would update CPU-Z and in theory it should give the same value as Asus Probe or thereabouts.

Hmmm, must be one of the earlier versions that gives you Vcore readings then.

As for getting it stable at 3.6GHz, mine took 1.475V in the BIOS on water.

ok cheers.

Something that ive noticed now tho. Whatever I set the vCore to in bios, the values in probe/cpuz/speedfan all stay the same, 1.34/1.150/1.26 respectively!

I think i'll come back to this tomorrow, and stick with the 3.4@1500fsb, as that is 100% stable.
