Hello,
I was hoping somebody could tell me what would cause my Vcore to say 'Fail' in the BIOS PC Health window.
It says:
I came across this because I've been contemplatng overclocking and I wanted to find an accurate account of my processor temperature. I checked CoreTemp and TaT, EasyTune6 and then decided to check the BIOS.
Before I did that however, seeing that TaT and CoreTemp said my temps were a lot higher than ET6 indicated (almost double in fact) I decided to give my computer a dust out to make for a fair test.
I did not remove my CPU fan completely; just the top section leaving the heatsink in place.
The fan was also slightly loose and I tightened it up a bit but it's still got a little bit of give; the last screw is out of reach.
Anyway, I checked my temps again and they weren't too different, maybe a few degrees lower and now I thought to check the BIOS temps where I found the nasty Vcore failed surprise.
Could anybody please tell me if this is a problem and what it may be?
I guess overclocking is definately out of the question now huh.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Regards,
Tig
P.S: Specs in sig.
