Could Vcore fluctations suggest a dodgy power supply?
With LLC turned on the Vcore can increase to about +0.05-0.07v of the set voltage and without LLC the Vcore can decrease to about -0.05-0.07v of the set voltage. I read reviews and and this range of values seem awfully high.

Specs:
i7 920 D0
Asus Rampage II Extreme
OCZ gold 1333mhz
Coolermaster Realpower Pro 1000W

Oh and CPU-Z and the bios were used to get voltage values.
During idle its about 0.01-0.03 higher or lower than intended value and then the most abnormal values happen under IBT or prime 95.

vDroop is a built in function to the Intel chipset. I suspect that is what you are experiencing.

Here is a very good read that will help you and anyone else who is experiencing these sort of things understand why it is a good thing.

hmm yeah i kinda did know a bit about vdroop, just think that my vcore changes were a bit excessive.

I set differential amplitude to 1000mv and it seems to have reduced the range of the fluctuations.

I do not really hold much stock with the voltages that are reported with the different software applications that are available. I find it is easier just to measure and be sure. The RE2 has those handy measure points that I do so like.

Please that you have sorted.
