Vcore not changing

I noticed today that the CPU temp is higher than usual, it would usually sit around 26c at idle and not go over around 68c under load, but now it's sitting at between 30-40c and got up to 72c after 2 minutes of prime95.

Room temp is about the same as always.

I checked the vcore and it's 1.295v, which is higher than I set it in bios, not by much, it was 1.290v in bios, I restarted and turned the multiplier down by 1 and took the vcore down to 1.250v, saved, back into windows, vcore is still showing as 1.295v in all software that has it, restarted again, vcore down to 1.210v in bios, still no change in windows and temps are still up.

What's going on? Could this be something wrong with the bios? It is a beta version and TBH I didn't check the voltage when I updated to this version, I just put my old settings in and carried on as usual, it wasn't until I noticed the temps that I checked.

Motherboard is a GA-Z77-D3H, CPU is an i5 3570k.

It's oc'd, was at 4.4ghz, now it's down to 4.3ghz, I was using fixed voltage, it was saving in the bios settings, but it didn't matter what I set it to, all software and even the bios was showing 1.295v

I'll try changing a few settings, if it makes no difference I'll reflash the bios, if that doesn't help I'll try going back to the last non-beta bios.

Reflashed the bios and all is well again! I think I'll look into using offset rather than fixed voltage, is it the same procedure for overclocking? Keep upping the multiplier until it fails/crashes then add more offset?

I tried with the settings you suggested and under load I was getting 1.295v, dropped the offset down to +0.005 and I'm getting 1.280v under load, could probably go lower @ 4.3ghz, I can't remember what voltage I found to be stable, for 4.4ghz I think I'll have to go back up to +0.010, I'll experiment more tomorrow.
