My Q6600 is clocked at 3.2Ghz atm, and the Vcore is clocked at 1.3v in the BIOS, but when i run programs such as Coretemp of SIsoft they all say the voltage is at stock =/

Any idea which may be accurate? Am running a GA-X38-DS4 mobo atm

ah right. I tried bumping up the voltage to 1.4v to make the q6600 stable at 3.5Ghz, but it's still not prime stable. What other voltages can i change to make it safe? ALl i changed was the voltage on RAM to get to it's rated Voltage

See if there's a control for the FSB, MCH(Northbridge) or something similar, and make sure that PCI-E is locked and nothing is overclocking it besides your own changes.

Also you have to account for the inevitable Vdrop and Vdroop, i have needed about 1.475v to get stable at that clock on Q6600 chips.

1.5 volt is fine for a quad at your overclock.

Mine would run @ 3.2 on silly low volts , but needed a bump to get to 3.6.

Just watch the temps.
