hi

i have a phenom II 940 + 790FXB-M2RSH motherboard, all the voltages are on defaults/auto, in the bios it's saying the vcore is 1.33v and cpu-z says 1.328v which both are wrong. the vcore should be 1.35v...

also in the bios theres no cpu vid option, only CPU VID Special Add is there and if i use that to add +25.0mv the vcore goes to 1.36v but drops to 1.34v underload..

is anyone else having this problem?

The sensors on the motherboard/cpu are not 100% accurate neither are the voltage regulators on the motherboard, they all have a tolerance. The voltage read is less than 2% under the default voltage, i.e. nothing to worry about.

Your BIOS is probably rounding the reading from 1.328v to 1.33v giving you what looks like a different level but it will be from the same sensor.

So in summary, I don't think you have a problem, just manufacturing variation.

Hope this helps.

been looking other forums people are having the same problem . also dfi knows about this issue, so hopefully they'll get it fixed.

for stock yes its fine and actually at stock it stays at 1.328v doesn't drop underload.
but the problem is when your trying to overclock, if u want your vcore at say 1.42v you'll add +75.0mv then you will need to add another +25.0mv just so when it goes underload it won't go to low, but it uses more volts and more heat than needed when idle ..
