I have the Spec in the sig below running aN832 sli.

At present I have not had the system long and still getting familiar with the setup after prevoiusly owning a barton. Accoriding to the bios and PC Probe my Vcore reports at 1.44Volts, I noticed a lot of peoples posts reported it to be lower 1.4 or 1.35 according to other sources I have seen.

I am sure this is right, I have not adjusted any of the settings in the jumperless config in the bios, no AI overclocking is enabled, as firstly I thought it may be that.

I am probably worring about nothing just want someone to confirm this is ok?

temps are not really a problem cpu idlea at 36-38c depending on the room temp and around 45c on load. VCORE OVERVOLT is disabled in the bios. and it is already set to AUTO on the AI overclocking option.

Not overclocking at all, although I must admit I didnt apply AS5 at the time, its running the crap that came with the cooler. It might explain the slighty higher temps. (I am not really worried about the temps)

However in the bios I have the option to set the VCORE from 1.375, 1.385 , 1.4, - and so on all the way to 1.5 onwards. Isnt the stock for a amd 64 1.35 so I set this to the lowest 1.375.

On a restart the temps have gone down, 33c in windows but the VCORE does not match the bios. I am guessing the board overvolts the CPU naturally I am now at 1.4 when running CPUz, which is better than 1.44 that I had before.

The system seems stable I will have to try running prime.

If it helps I am using the lastest bios from ASUS 1103.

Would be interesting if anyone else has expierenced the board overvolting. I dont think its the PSU its a Hiper 580. There meant to be good psu?

Thx for the reassurance on that. By manually setting the vcore to 1.375 I have achived the 1.4 somehow the board seems to overvolt. I know that other people have expierenced this. My mind is now at rest.

I have just popped around my brothers house he has the same mobo, and checked his, he again used the hiper psu. I noticed his VCORE was even HIGHER :o than mine on the AUTO setting it reads it around 1.46 on ASUS probe. ALthough he is using an older bios.

I`ll probably advise him to manually set his as well.

Cheers for the help.
