Vcore voltage-is this normal?

I've had a new motherboard and I'm trying to find a stable overclock. In view of this, I've been keeping an eye on the Vcore voltage and I've noticed that when the CPU is in use(even from as little as 2% load)the Vcore voltage drops. It goes from 1.47v down to 1.43v. Is this normal, or indicative of a PSU problem?

Cheers, dagwoood.

TaKeN, I've never enabled cool n quiet and my boards not overvolting. I've intentionally set it to run at 1.475v because of the high overclock I'm trying to get stable(Opteron 144 running with HTT of 300, 2.7GHz).

EDIT: Sorry, meant to say thanks for posting :)

It can happen sometimes, the problem with that is that to get it stable you need to raise the VCore further to compensate the drop.

My old Socket 754 mobo did the same, dropping every once in a while, but my current DFI mobo is very stable and over a period of 10 days the VCore never went up or down from 1.52V

Thanks for that Dutch Guy.

I'd gathered that to get my system stable I'd have to compensate for the fluctuation, which is a bit of a bummer really; having to put more volts through it and so increasing temps :(
