VDSL Modem/Router

Evening all,

My cabinet has finally been upgraded to FTTC but I would like to not have the openreach modem and a router so...

Does anyone have any recommendations for a combined vdsl modem/ ac router.

Looks like there are not very many options for this! Can't only see the DSL-AC68 available.

Is the best setup the openreach modem and then router attached? I suspect this will enable less connection drops if rebooting the router for firmware upgrades thus avoiding DLM etc...

Any ideas?

Thanks however they are all without AC wifi.

Not sure on the best setup;

Either Openreach Modem + Mine
or
All-in-one but not many on the market.

So i'm now trying to decide which AC router to get.

Linksys EA6900
Netgear R7000
Asus RT-AC68U
Asus RT-AC66U
D-link DIR-868L

Thinking about installing Tomato so only the Asus have this option at the moment.

What would people recommend based on experience. I have an Asus N55U however I don't use half the features I just need the high performance and range, mainly due to a new build three storey house covering around 1600sq/ft.
