My phone socket is behind my TV in the lounge - which I think causes issues with the wifi.

I know telephone extensions are bad news - so what's my best option.

Get a separate router and access point, and split the 2? I've got a HH5 at present.

Thanks

Why do you think that a TV would cause a problem with WiFi? The only thing I can think of is the metal parts and TVs aren't exactly full of metal these days. Just give it a try. If you get issues then think about separates.

I was under the impression that anything that cause interference was bad for both wifi and vDSL?

Hmm well I suppose a TV does put out some high frequency stuff and that could have an effect on a VDSL signal at certain of frequencies such as the smps the TV.

Still try it out though before wasting your time and money on separate boxes.

If switching the TV on causes a drop in snr or sync speed then you'll know.
