Hi,
Took my new Vectra on it's first long run at the weekend since I've owned it. First of all, it was great (compared to my old Corolla!). So much more comfortable and effortless cruising on the motorway. 70mph and wasn't even do 3000rpm.
Anyway, I noticed the temp gauge didn't move until I slowed for traffic or a junction/roundabout. Then it would climb to 90, and once I was moving again it dropped back down.
Output from the heater seemed fine and mpg was 38 mpg over the 200 mile trip with a bit of stop/start and the start and end of the journey.
If it helps it's a Vectra C facelift, 57 plate 1.8i vvt (petrol)
