Hey I'd like to buy the new 2400G and vega 11 APU for 900p/720p gaming , would it be capable of 900p med-high 40 fps on current games?If so then what sort of ram will I need 16gb or 8gb?

BTW,the GT1030 was tested with a Core i5 8400. Here is another test against a G4560 and a GT1030:

Looking at the results,it seems like the Ryzen 5 2400G should do the job.

This is with 2400MHZ DDR4 though,and IMHO I would rather go with 8GB of 3000MHZ/3200MHZ DDR4 than 16GB of 2400MHZ DDR4.

aim for as near as 3200mhz DDR4 as you can afford. 16GB preferably. Worth looking at 2nd hand if the prices are outrageous.

8GB is fine for the APU as indicated by the comparison video I posted earlier - however this was done with 2400MHZ DDR4,and around 3000MHZ DDR4 seems to be the sweet spot in terms of performance and price.

Speed of the memory is the most important factor here when purchasing memory for an APU, 3000/3200 is what you need. If you can afford 16gb fine if not get 8Gb but don't sacrifice the speed. I would also recommend watching Digital Foundries videos on Youtube, Richard Leadbetter (formally of Sega Saturn magazine) covered it lots of detail and tested plenty of games.
