Vega 64 Driver crash

Hi I'm having a bit of trouble with my Sapphire vega 64 Nitro. Last few months I've been getting driver hangs in several games, Divinity 2, Outer Worlds and Modern Warfare (2019) I've tried DDU. It seems to happen on all wattman profiles but is more frequent if I try to under-volt. Temp doen't go much over 70-73c. Anyone else have this, how did you fix it?

Forgot to add system.

Try going into Wattman and set the voltage for all states to the same value. Use the value in the last state (S7 I think) as the basis for all and apply. Don't use your undervolted value, use the stock value.

I've read how moving between the various voltage states can cause the Wattman software to trip over and crash. Trying this will keep the voltage constant as the card moves through the various states when gaming.

If its still happening after the above, then set power usage limit +50% (not sure if this is available on Vega cards?) and see if this resolves the issue.

If issue no longer occurs, then you can go back to undervolting but would need apply state 7 (last one I think) voltage to all previous states.

So it was discord overlay making modern warfare crash. And setting min state to p7 seems to have stabilised Outer worlds. So the voltage jumps may well have been causing the crashes.

From my reading, it's a driver issue, not a hardware problem.

I suspect card manufacturers may run slightly different voltage values for the various states from an AMD reference design, so when it's moving through the different states, Wattman throws a hissy fit and crashes.

Glad it seems to be sorted now :)
