Vega64 not reaching full GPU speed?

Hey

I need a little help please as I'm trying to see why my Crysis Neon Noir benchmark scores are consistently low. I'm getting the same scores at 1440p and 1080p. Even overclocking GPU and Memory yields the smallest changes - sometimes a lower score. I increased the power slider and that caused some major throttling. Heat I guess. So put that back to 0%.

It seems with the metric overlay on, when running the benchmark GPU SCLK doesn't reach anything over ~1500MHZ (state 6) on the GPU at 99% utilisation. State 6 I've upped to 1600 (1536 previously) and state 7 is at 1715 (1630 previously). Memory is at 1050.

Quick screenshot (excuse the fan profile I was just ramping it up to rule out heat whilst testing).

Here we can see the clock speed seems maxed at 1445Mhz. It doesn't actually go above 1500Mhz. I sat and watched it :p. It just never pushes on over into the 1600-1700Mhz range...

Have I done something wrong?

This was happening with 20.11.1 and now 20.11.3 drivers (I could try a fresh install... not done that yet)

Thanks for any help.

Thanks @COYS the more I read, been doing some more today, the more common it seems. However, I have managed to make some progress. Managed with the following settings (see below) to finally break into the 1600Mhz range. The card gets hits ~1620Mhz and it spent more time in the 1500Mhz range. I think it's a balancing act between power, heat, voltage and clock speed.

You can see I'm hitting same power draw (consumption) figures as before, and temperature, but now achieving higher clocks (albeit in short bursts).
