Vega64 VR Performance ?

I use it, but not for Elite. Coming from a R9-295x2 (so essentially R9-290X as far as VR is concerned), Vega 64 is fantastic. I've got my tray tool set to 1.5 super sampling, I run games on the high presets, and the performance is fantastic as far as I can tell. Whether ASW kicks in to pick up some slack or not I couldn't really say, but that is testement to how will it works.

I haven't done any serious benching, and certainly wouldn't argue against any reviews or comparisons that have. Just saying, I'm very happy with mine :)

Thanks for the info :)

With my 1080ti I run high settings, no aa, super sampling set to 2.0. I only get slight reprojection when srving on planet surfaces. I did find running ed through oculus home rather than steam resulted in smoother framerates.

I also came from 295X2 (and a few weeks on a 480, which offered a very similar performance) and my framerates are certainly better in VR on Vega 64.

Elite is a bit strange inside stations, it seems to really want to reduce things to 45 fps all the time (no matter the settings) so I'm always suffering ASW there (visible artifacts from that in the menus), but outside of stations it's great. So yeah, I'm quite happy with mine.
