Vegas in april.

Been looking at booking a 9 day break in Vegas for joint birthdays for me and the wife and honeymoon. Been reading through the Vegas threads on here but there is loads of info and hard to pick apart. What is the best way of doing it. i.e booking as a package or flights and hotels separate.

Looking at 14th April to the 23rd. Only real thing I must do is experience a proper gun range.

Book it separately, you will get more control over where you stay and better prices.

Wait for a sale period before booking flights. Consider flying into Los Angeles instead, its usually noticeably cheaper and the plane less likely to be rammed with drunk people going on stag do's. The drive across the desert to Vegas is fun too.

Use Skyscanner for flights. I mostly use Hotels.com for hotels, they are usually as cheap as everyone else plus you get quid co cash back and also a free night for every 10 you book which is effectively another 10% off on top.

Always check the rate on the hotels website itself though first. Vegas rooms are dirt cheap Sunday to Thursday - I paid 40 quid a night for the Planet Hollywood for example.

Worth a look as they have some pretty mental sales/offers on there, with loads of freebies from different hotels. Easy enough to find decent flights too and they do instalments

I always use bookit when going to America. The mystery rooms are always good value as well, as they are easy to work out where they are and always a good saving over the normal price. And as you say you get freebies thrown in as well.

If they do instalments they won't be cheapest, the best prices require prepayment in full by the hotel or airline so somebody has to pay for what is effectively a loan of if they take instalments.

It worked out a lot cheaper as it happens. Well, compared to your thomson and virgin type packages. Whether they add fees for instalments I'm not sure

Its vegas though, not a place for the word cheapest

Well yes I would imagine it's cheaper than those places but that's because those places are expensive not because bookit is cheap. You can do better.

Vegas is definitely a place for the word cheapest, there are not very many other places in the world where you can stay in such great hotels for as little as you can get them for in Vegas. It's not an expensive place really as there is so much capacity.

Rubbish

I never use installments. But they are on average the cheapest place for booking in America (from what i have found) and that's doing a lot of looking.

Unless you were specifically referring to just booking via installments. In which case i would agree you will always be paying more when you are paying via installments.

Well after a fair while looking it turns out a package deal is no more expensive than doing it separately. Booked the 28th march to go staying at New york New York. Only going for 7 days as me and the wife both think anymore we would broke lol.
