hey guys i have rainbow six vegas and although im enjoying the singleplayer the multiplayer seems a huge letdown to me,

a) i don't really know what im doing
b) it takes like 20minutes for a game to finish before it will let me play

:(

What am i missing here as i got it because i heard it was great online?

Select Quick Game -> Ranked Match.

Then scroll through the servers til you find one with a good ping (should be 3 green dots).. Press Start and see if the game has started or if the players are in the lobby. If they are in the lobby then join the game and you shouldn't have long to wait.
 
yeh could do, proberly closer to 9 as i might go to the gym around 7.

I don't talk on the microphone btw but i do listen :p

Why should i go ranked and not player, i just played a player match and got killed like 10 times :(
 
i find Playe matches less "bitchy" so use them, no point in ranked unless you wanna go up in the world ranks (your class ranks, e.g Sergeant etc.. go up in either).

9 is cool; ill rally some troops
 
Also on this online match im on atm, i die within about 1second of seeing somebody even if i shoot them :(

The crosshair never goes read anymore when i hover over the enemy?
 
Cant remember if it does or not online, or they might have it on hard (if its on terrorist hunt).

Just be patient, and go in slow :) Practice makes perfect
 
On T-hunt, use a Shield plus pistol of your choice. It's a nice way of easing you in, plus you can practice headshots. You can build up your rank a while, then once you feel more confident, switch to a long weapon but remember to use cover properly.
 
i havent once played a t-hunt game, is the game actually called "Terrorist Hunt" because it wasnt on the list :\
 
Can't remember off the top of my head the exart wording, but if you are joinging a game (in custom match), you should be able to search and do a filter on the match type. it's something like Co-op terrorist hunt.

Okie thanks ill have alook, another two questions

a) How come online looks so crap compared to single player :p
b) i just realised in the "outfitting" on the main xbox live menu i can set armor/clothing etc, what should i put onto my character?
 
I guess it's like on PC, when they tone down the graphics to allow more bandwidth for netcode and stuff. I could be wrong.

It's down to you really. What looks good, and what do you prefer - speed or protection? There are stats for each bit of armour. However, maybe others might have an opinion on what is really effective.
Remember, you do get better loadouts the more you rank up.

And i rank up how, by getting more kills?
 
Personally, I hate the Versus stuff, so I stick to the T-hunt, or co-op missions. In co-op, depending on the difficulty and enemy density, you can get up to 600 points per player (it's always equal).
On the player character screen, you can open up your stats, and see how far you've progressed. There's 5 red bars that you need to fill before ranking up (actually 6). Not sure how many points are needed per bar. 3000 I think, times by 5.

To answer your question, on a terrorist hunt, once you've killed all the T's, it's mission over, and everyone gets an equal share of the points. Note YOU don't actually have to kill anyone yourself.
 
Im up for some games later. Been playing this online a lot lately and getting pretty good.

I only play player matches aswell. Not interested in leaderboards. There all boosted anyway. I always see people who have elite rank but are totally ****.

Anways, I'll be around so just chuck me an invite. :)
 
Im waiting for my game to start on T-Hunt and watching 3 guys play together, they are using tactics and it seems great fun :D
