Having a bit of trouble when trying to create a time lapse form video in Vegas pro 11.

Every time I go to compress the video to make it faster (by pressing ctrl and dragging the clip) it works fine....up to the point of me going to play it, at which point the program just stops working.

Any ideas what this might be caused by?

the footage im trying to do it with is 30fps @ 720p from my gopro.

Tried it with several different clips but it happens every time.

Help will be much appreciated.

Is it a sequence of photos that you've put in to the video or a clip?
Try rendering the time lapse separately and then putting it back in to the time line.

Also, check to see how much ram is being used for the playback and crank it up a bit higher if needed.

If it's possible, swap to Adobe Premiere Pro. Vegas is powerful but it's been buggy as all hell on every install of it I've tried. Premiere is just as powerful and is a much nicer piece of software to use. Less buggy, background rendering, Bridge/PS integration etc.

I know it's not much help with Vegas but I went through similar problems and there was so little documentation or help I just swapped to Premiere.
