Wondering if any of you use vegetable boxes now? A few years ago there was only a few names doing it, but now seems a lot more competitive.

Looking for something to suit 2 people, who cook most nights... Who do you use? A local one? A nationwide one?

Based in Bristol, so seen a few local ones around me

Used Able & Cole but they use too much imported stuff. Now using Riverford but the quality is crap so considering a local place and also getting stuff from garden growers who sell at the local car boot sale. Not certified organic, but as good as with very few miles on them.

We used to use able and cole but the quality was awful. Apparently they are better now but they weren't local produce so was never sure what the draw was.

Unless you can find a company that does local fruit and veg I'd suggest you don't bother. Get your fruit and veg at a supermarket instead, it'll be cheaper, better quality and you can get what you want.

We used to use Riverford, but gave it up a few years ago.

We get almost all of our veg from the local farm shop now.

A&C here too.
Cheaper than local fresh organic stuff and with a wider variety. Can pick & choose items, if there's something in that week's box you don't like/want, plus they supply recipe cards/ideas for the current content.

considering a local place
What place is that, Papa?
How do you rate the Farmers' Market in Great Knollys St?

We used riverford but the wife got fed up with the same thing over and over.

Was nice to get a few different things now and again.
