vehicle Reg changed

would like your thoughts on why this would arise.

Have just done a check on a vehicle that someone has offered me and the check comes back as 'Reg Change: yes'

everything else is great.

not able to contact seller until tomorrow so would like your thoughts on why this would arise and what are the implications?

Usually it's just a private plate was fitted at one point..

Assuming the registration that is on the car is the one it is registered with the DVLA with no implications whatsoever. Had exactly the same with mine, previous owner had a private plate and put original on retention, when she PX'd it she then put original back on and changed the details again
