i'm looking at a 7 years old bmw330ise and it comes with a vehicle tracker

i don't know the make of the tracker at this stage

anyone know rough cost of continuing use of the tracker?

is it worth continuing on a 7 year old vehicle in a low risk area?

is it worth removing it from the vehicle if i'm not going to use it?

thanks :)

It depends on how much the subscription is really, if its mega bucks then i would imagine you should just sell it.

Check how much it knocks off the insurance though, as you may make quie a saving negating the subscription cost.

If it's a Tracker Monitor/Horizon then it's £120 a year for a subscription I think. No it isn't worth it on a car like that and no it isn't worth removing - it just won't do anything without a subscription.

I'd only ever bother with a Tracker on a car that you have to have one fitted for insurance purposes - e.g. BMW M cars generally require a Tracker to be covered for theft.

yes you can,I was told mine was tranferable to another car.
Why is there no point on a 7yo car?my car is 11 years old and has a tracker on it,admittedly I couldn't insure it without one but I'm glad to have it just incase!
Costs me £11 a month for uk and europe tracking and a service that gives me my exact position if I break down.
