Has anyone got a tracker fitted, do you think they are worth the money??

I have my reservations, i dont mind the install fee as its no more than a CAT1 system, but its the annual fee that really bites.

Which one is best?

A friend has Navtrak in one of his cars. He moved it out of the garage and left it idling on the drive, by the time he'd got indoors they were on the phone to him asking if it was him moving the car.

You can get a cheapo tracker on the 'bay for 30 odd quid... easy to fit and you can run it from the battery... uses a vodafone sim card to operate on the mobile phone network... you register on a specific site (register costs about 2 quid) and then it costs an extra 30p every time you login to the website and do a search for your car... very useful if it got stolen etc... cheap solution but works

I has one on the STi as it was standard and all insurers insisted on it , I looked at it for the M3 and it would reduce my insurance by £50 and cost £120 a year in subs

They are getting less worthwhile now as insurers know that any serious criminal can easily disable them

re: the ebay Idea......

I've looked in to this as an idea BUT:

yeah good in theory.. but, there not that accurate... 1-4 mile radius is not going to find your car in someone elses garage.!!!!!!

bullit

They're a damn sight more accurate than that.

edit: Oh, the ebay one. You get what you pay for...

Id rather not have a tracker thank you :p The sticker will do me just fine

If someone nicks my car , rags it about do i really want to help the police getting it back. No id rather it got sold on so i can get a new one under insurance.
