Velux windows help

So, it turns out my massive smugness about having remote control Velux windows has totally backfired just now.

Power cut plus following thunder storm = wet kitchen.

I tried to manually close but they weren't responsive and didn't want to force it.

Any ideas for next time please?

There's a Velux video on YouTube showing how to disconnect the chain and reset.

Still needs power to retract the chain so wasn't an option!

Bugger....sorry about that.

Google "closing electric Velux window without power" and you'll see a link in the search results to a pdf file that shows how. It can definitely be done.
