Velvet Revolver Type Bands

Can anyone recommend bands like Velvet Revolver. Pure drums, bass, guitar... all out hard rock crammed with electric guitar solos. Obviously I've heard all the classics, so I'm mainly looking for modern bands.

They're a bit too heavy for my taste. I'm not really a fan of powermetal. Then again, I don't mind that stuff now and again.

Eh? Where does a poppy nu-metal band fit in here?

I s'pose you could try Nickelback, Foo Fighters, Quenns of the Stoneage and Sparta amongst others.

As soon as I heard the Velvet Revovers album I thought they had ripped one of my fave bands off - The Wildhearts.

Warrior Soul - Modern but spilt up ages ago, work that out (ahead of their time possibly ).

Stone Temple Pilots - last 2 of their albums, tiny music and shangri la de da.

Buckcherry - Exactly like VR, in fact so much so VR ripped them off too .


Going back the way, which really you should as (like me) there's bound to be a few you missed:

Seether are quite grungy, also I'd recommend Alter Bridge.

I would also recommend Motley Cru, there a similar band. Also Queens of the stonage are pretty good.
