Venting anger..

So, I've spent the last week touring round Ireland in the 200 with my girlfriend, and had a great time blasting around the Irish back roads. One day in particular though my missus had to keep me from having kittens due to the action of some utter ****. Story below:

We stopped next to a beach one day, locked the car and went for a walk along the shore. Came back to it after about an hour to find clumps of wet sand on the boot, which I thought was a little odd as it didn't look like it had just blown there. Shrugged it off, blew away the sand, got into the car and started the engine. At this point the alarm beeps at me to tell me it's been activated whilst I've been away. So I start to put two and two together, get out of the car and have a closer look at the boot, only to find the previously mirror like paintwork looks like it's been sandpapered in the area the sand was found.

Now, I parked the car next to another in the car park which by this point had left. The only thing I can think happened is that that car's owner used my boot to rest their sandy shoes / bags / child on whilst packing up to leave. This would explain the clumps of wet sand which appeared to have been rubbed in and the activation of the alarm.

This really really annoyed me.. how can somebody be so careless to somebody elses property? Especially a car which is so obviously cared for like mine. I truly can't understand how somebody could think it was acceptable.

Anyway no real point to this thread, just wanted to vent my anger at some people who might understand my pain (the girlfriend didn't see the big deal  :D).

Anyone have any similar stories of vandalism to their car??

I don't imagine it's as annoying as having someone walk over your roof causing it pretty much collapse in but still annoying! My mums 200 goes mental at you opening the door even with the right key (seen as the fob has died of old age) so how it didn't set your alarm off I don't know

Edit: I was assuming at this point you meant Rover 200, hence the old age bit ;)

The Nissan is still quite old! The alarm did go off though, and has a very loud siren. Hope it gave the ****** a scare :D

Nissan 200sx

How did they sit on it with the mini spoiler there? Dont think many s14s came without them excepting the odd non turbo import.
Or is it an S13?

An S14 without a spoiler would probably look like the most perfect car in the world for a kid to climb up and sit on the back of :D

I remember after the first year obsessively polishing mine, it had picked up too many scratches. You only really get over it when you realise you wouldnt have wanted to track it if it had been still in perfect bodywork condition.

Mine was kept on the road for 6 years. Loads of times I saw people shaped impressions on the bonnet after a snow fall :D
*Shrug* Its a sporty (ish) car with a big long bonnet. Always going to happen.

It's an S14a but the spoiler has been removed ;)

Anyway no major harm done, the marks will probably polish out -- I was just annoyed that somebody would decide to sandpaper my car for me!

A colleague rested their bag on the bonnet of my nicely polished/waxed car whilst they were getting something out of it. I didn't say anything though, but it really annoyed me.

Because people are ***** There are some people in life who see a nice car and are so jealous, they have to "get their own back" because they can't have that car. I've had a conversation with some chav about this where he thought it was ok to key someones car if it was expensive.
