Veracrypt Truecrypt fork

New Truecrypt fork has been released if anyone interested.

I only found out about it today and it looks very stable and well maintained.

Lovely I hadn't heard of this! I'll finally be able to open my old TrueCrypt volumes in OSX without having to go through Windows running in Parallels

It might be FUD from the original authors but they said truecrypt wasn't secure. There was an audit of the code which didnt show anything but its worth keeping in mind. Cant be any less secure than bitlocker which uploads a backup key to one drive automatically for you mind you..

Hmm, will check this out later. Haven't looked into alternatives since the TrueCrypt obliteration and wasn't particularly inclined to believe it either.
