Verified by Visa - issues?

Has anyone tried to make a payment recently using a Visa debit card and encountered an error at the verification step?
Quick Twitter search suggests I'm not the one (tried to pay council tax online and order from Just Eat and both gave me the same error).

Anyone else?

Used visa and did verify for asda shopping about 40 mins ago okay.

Used one yesterday and it went through fine. Could be something thats recent though so i dont know sorry.

Try ringing your 24 hour bank line and see if they're blocking your card?

I had a lot of issues trying to pay my credit card on Friday, spent a lot of time on the phone with the fraud department and again yesterday but they couldn't see any blocks on my account.

Netflix seems to be down, or at least not able to log in. I wonder if something bigger is at play.

Called Natwest, no issues their side but they've opted me out of verified by visa. Fingers crossed it works now.

Curry was good though

I'm a developer for a large online retailer. We've been given daily updates by our payment processor that certain card issuers are experiencing Europe-wide issues with the 3D Secure network.

Natwest has been on the list since last Thursday.

I opted out of it years ago after it caused me a bit of trouble. It worked fine after that (and after my card was unblocked).

I feel you pain. I'm always 1 month behind on council tax, every month they send me that threatening letter.

I've been having some issues with payments that normally go through... stalling on verified by visa... unlike normal.

Just going to try again in the morning.
