Hello all, I'm new here though have been browsing the site for quite a while.
Have come up with this spec, budget is ideally around £1300 tops which is to include pretty much everything barring mouse and keyboard.
This is what I came up with
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 TOXIC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE DIRT3 & Deus Ex Games £221.99
(£184.99) £221.99
(£184.99)
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £167.99
(£139.99) £167.99
(£139.99)
Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £159.98
(£133.32) £159.98
(£133.32)
IIyama Prolite E2473HDS 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £143.99
(£119.99) £143.99
(£119.99)
Cooler Master HAF X Gaming Tower Case - Black (RC-942) £114.98
(£95.82) £114.98
(£95.82)
OCZ Z-Series 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £99.98
(£83.32) £99.98
(£83.32)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050) £79.99

(£66.66)
Samsung SpinPoint F4 EcoGreen 2TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD204UI) £64.99
(£54.16) £64.99
(£54.16)
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX) £47.99
(£39.99) £47.99
(£39.99)
Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366) £23.99
(£19.99) £23.99
(£19.99)
Samsung SH-S222AB/RSMS 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black/Silver/Biege) - Retail £18.98
(£15.82) £18.98
(£15.82)
If anyone can come up with something a lot better then I'm all ears. Not personally bothered by SSD, coming from an old E4500 with 2GB of ram any machine is gonna be a huge advancement. Not a big gamer but would like to have the option, hence the 6950 and possible overkill on the graphics card but that is more future proofing my build more than anything.
