I have veritas backup exec v10 running.

I have a USB external disk that has been used as a backup-to-disk folder

It has a whole load of bkf files on it.

The file I need is listed in the 'restore wizard' inventory.

How do I restore it. It moans about physical media not being online.

All I need to do is to tell Veritas where the media is but I cannot find anywhere that will let me do this.

Can anyone post a simple step by step guide and save my life !

A) has the drive letter changed?
B) are you using the same USB device from when you did the backup?

you should get some kind of option from the Device area on the restore tab

a) Drive letter may have changed
b) yes same usb device with untouched "changer.cfg and folder.cfg files

If I try to add it as a backup-to-disk folder I get a "Path is in use by another backup-to-disk folder" when it isn't.....

Can't I just point a restore wizard at the directory !

One of the veritas services had stopped - restarted it and was bale to add the backup-to-disk folder, catalog it and restore...

Thanks for the help.
